VetFest – Saturday 9th April
VetFest, the indoor Veterinary festival, is back for its second year following a fantastic launch in 2015. It promises to be a fantastic night, packed with a vast range of musical acts, theatre and comedy. The International Convention Centre (ICC), Birmingham, will be transformed from a world class lecture space into an indoor festival paradise, allowing guests to wander through the maze of stalls, buskers and entertainment. The programme lists a wide range of musical acts with something for every musical taste, along with an hour of comedy hosted by The Official Comedy Club. Sponsored by The Veterinary Times and Protexin Veterinary.
BSAVA Congress – 7th – 10th April
The BSAVA Congress offers a progressive programme of over 350 lectures and practical sessions at the ICC. The ICC and Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham city centre will host an impressive four days of development, learning and discussion. Alongside the lectures, Congress 2016 will include an extensive exhibition of over 250 of the industry’s finest companies in the industry, along with an outstanding social programme. The keynote lecture on Thursday 7th April will also host the BSAVA Awards, recognising outstanding contributions to the field of Small Animal Veterinary Practice. Whether you’re a budding new graduate looking for vet jobs, recently qualified or already work in the field of Veterinary Medicine, the programme will offer something for you. From practical sessions to expert-lead talks, be prepared to get hands-on and discuss the latest ideas and technologies in our field.
This year’s BSAVA Congress will also boast a student stream that will provide graduates-to-be with advice on the wide range of career options available, and valuable guidance on how to survive that first job. The student stream alone is free, but students also have the opportunity to take part in the full four-day for just £90, as a student members. Visit the BSAVA Congress website for a cost breakdown for day-rates, full-package costs, exhibition fees and BSAVA membership options.
