I’m working with PDSA who are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their team in Sussex on a part-time basis (22.5 hours per week). This is a really rewarding role where you’ll genuinely make a difference to pets and owners who need support the most.

The role:
You’ll be working across a wide range of medical and surgical cases, giving you plenty of variety day to day. The team are very supportive, with lots of opportunity for case discussion and shared learning.
You’ll need to be confident making clinical decisions and comfortable discussing realistic treatment options with clients, balancing best practice with individual circumstances. It’s a role where communication and a pragmatic, welfare-first approach are really important.
The rota:
This role is designed with work-life balance in mind:
3 days per week (22.5 hours)
1 in 6–7 weekends (8am–8pm) with time off in lieu the following week
1 in 6–7 late shifts (until 10pm) with inpatient on-call
Occasional teleconsulting shifts, with some potential for working from home
You’ll be joining a modern, well-equipped hospital with facilities including digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy and orthopaedic equipment. The team have a wide range of clinical interests, so there’s always someone to bounce ideas off.

Salary: £45,750 - £60,112 FTE (pro rata, including allowances)
