    About This Role

    A modern, well-equipped veterinary practice in South Yorkshire is looking to recruit a Deputy Head Veterinary Surgeon to join its growing team.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced small animal GP Vet ready to take the next step into leadership, or an existing senior Veterinary Surgeon seeking a fresh challenge within a supportive, progressive environment.

    Working closely with the Head Veterinary Surgeon, you'll help drive clinical excellence, mentor and develop colleagues, and play a key role in shaping the future of the practice—all while maintaining a varied and rewarding medical and surgical caseload.

    The Role

    • Salary: £55,000–£70,000 DOE

    • Full-time, permanent position

    • Ideally worked across 4 set days

    • 1 in 4 weekend rota

    • Flexible working options considered

    The Practice

    You'll be joining a purpose-built, state-of-the-art practice with exceptional facilities, including:

    • 9 consultation rooms

    • 4 operating theatres

    • Dedicated dental suite

    • Ultrasound suite

    • CT imaging suite featuring a 128-slice CT scanner

    • Separate dog and cat wards

    • Dedicated preparation areas

    The practice is home to a highly collaborative clinical team with a wide range of interests. Many of the vets are currently studying towards postgraduate certificates, creating an environment where continuous learning, professional development and knowledge-sharing are actively encouraged.

    About You

    To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:

    • A minimum of 3 years' UK small animal GP experience

    • A passion for delivering exceptional patient care

    • The confidence and enthusiasm to mentor and support colleagues

    • Excellent communication skills with leadership potential

    • A desire to influence clinical standards and contribute to the continued growth and success of the practice
