Exciting Mobile Vet Surgeon Position in Edinburgh Ref:SV0073

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a mobile veterinary surgeon to join a well-established and independent practice based in Edinburgh. This friendly and supportive team is committed to reducing stress for staff, clients, and patients alike, delivering high-quality care in a calm and compassionate environment.

• Salary of £40,000–£45,000 (pro rata)
• Flexible working options are available, from part-time (minimum 3 days including Fridays) up to full-time.
• There are no out-of-hours duties!
• Saturday mornings are shared on a 1:5 rota.

The position primarily involves home visits throughout the Edinburgh area, with access to a dedicated surgical base for weekly procedures. One day per week is also spent providing care at a local cat shelter. You will be provided with individual equipment kits and have shared access to diagnostic tools including blood pressure monitors, a mobile ultrasound scanner, dental x-ray machine, and therapeutic laser.
The client base is generally very receptive and appreciative, allowing for meaningful relationships to develop with both clients and their pets.
The current team includes 5 vets and 3 nurses who work closely together in a positive and supportive environment.

The ideal candidate will be:
• A veterinary surgeon with a minimum of 2 years experience
• Comfortable with sole working
• Organised, time-efficient, and proactive
• A strong communicator with excellent client care skills
• Happy to drive between appointments (a good podcast helps!)
