Laceys client in Hampshire is seeking a Vet Surgeon to join their supportive, close-knit team where collaboration and care come first. This opportunity could be the right fit for you!
• Salary ranging from £45,000-£70,000 (DOE)
• Full-time, 40 hours per week.
• 4 days per week, finishing at 7pm.
• 1 in 3 Saturdays, finishing at 6pm.
• No OOHs or on call requirements!
• One weekday off per week & closed on Sundays.
An experienced veterinary surgeon is being sought to join a well-established team based in a thriving practice. The current team includes two full-time vets, four RVNs, one VCA, one RVN practice owner, and four receptionists. Four team members have been part of the practice for over five years, with one having been there since its inception.
Support is available from additional off-site clinical practice owners and teams across four sister sites, creating a wider network of around 21 vets. While collaboration and clinical discussion are encouraged, this role is permanently based at one primary location.
Opened in 2016, the practice now serves an active client base of approximately 3,000, with a strong surgical caseload. As such, the ideal candidate will have excellent consulting skills and be looking for a role that allows for more surgical time.
What’s on Offer
• Average of 40 hours per week (four weekdays, finishing at 7:00 pm, and 1 in 3 Saturdays, finishing at 6:00 pm)
• No out-of-hours or on-call work
• One weekday off per week
• Annual rota planned in advance
• Closed on Sundays (with no plans to open)
• Regular lunch breaks and end-of-day finishes
• Minimum of three surgical mornings per week
• Combination of 15- and 30-minute consultations
• Client base: approximately 67% canine, 27% feline, and under 6% rabbit/exotics
• Scheduled admin time and regular vet meetings
