Our independent client in Newcastle upon Tyne is looking for an experienced Mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly, established team.
This is a genuinely varied role, with a caseload of approximately 80% small animal, 15% equine and 5% farm, alongside a supportive team and a strong focus on clinical care and work-life balance.
The role
• Full or part time, minimum 3 days per week
• Salary from £60,000+ DOE
• 1 in 3 Saturday mornings
• Shared bank holiday cover
• Small contribution to a 1 in 6 weekend on-call rota
• Time off in lieu following weekend on-call
• 10-minute consultations

About you
• 6+ years' veterinary experience
• Confident and experienced clinician
• Enjoys the variety of mixed practice
• Comfortable with consults, surgery and ambulatory work
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Full manual driving licence
• Positive attitude and a good sense of humour
You'll be joining a supportive independent group of 8 practices across the North East, offering plenty of shared knowledge and experience while retaining that close-knit practice feel.
