    About This Role

    My client is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Senior Veterinary Surgeon to join their team in Wiltshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon looking to take the next step into a leadership-focused role within a progressive and supportive practice.

     

    This position offers the chance to play a key role within an established, RCVS-accredited practice, supporting the Clinical Director while helping to drive clinical standards, team development and overall service delivery. The practice benefits from excellent facilities, a highly skilled team and a strong reputation for delivering high standards of care.

     

    The Role:
    This is a full-time position working a 38-hour week, typically across a 4-day week Monday to Friday, with a small contribution to the weekend rota (averaging approximately 2 hours per week).

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Delivering a high standard of clinical care across a varied caseload

    • Supporting and deputising for the Clinical Director when required

    • Promoting and maintaining excellent clinical standards across the team

    • Contributing to clinical governance and service development

    • Supporting and mentoring colleagues to aid their professional growth

    • Managing workload effectively and contributing to a collaborative working environment

    • Handling client queries and concerns with professionalism and empathy

     

    This is a fantastic opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon looking to move into leadership, offering hands-on experience in both clinical and operational aspects of practice management. The role provides the opportunity to influence clinical standards, support team development and play an integral part in shaping the future direction of the practice.

     

    About You:

    • An experienced Veterinary Surgeon with strong clinical skills

    • Excellent communication skills with both clients and colleagues

    • Passionate about high standards of patient care and continuous improvement

    • Previous leadership or mentoring experience is advantageous
