You will work closely alongside the practice owner, allowing decisions to be made quickly and collaboratively, with your professional opinions genuinely valued. This role plays a key part in shaping the clinical direction of the practice, mentoring junior vets and ensuring excellent standards are consistently delivered to the local community.

    • Integral role in mentoring and supporting junior members of the veterinary team

    • High level of clinical freedom with autonomy to practice in the best interests of your patients

    • Full-time or part-time hours considered, offering genuine flexibility and work–life balance

    • 1 in 4 Saturday mornings only (9am–12pm)

    • No Sundays and no out-of-hours

    • Salary up to £75,000 FTE (DOE)

    • CPD and certificate support encouraged and supported

The practice has a varied and interesting caseload, including a vet with a special interest in exotics, and actively welcomes and supports vets with additional interests or those wishing to develop one.

The practice offers a bright, spacious working environment with modern facilities including digital x-ray, ultrasound, blood pressure monitoring and a fully equipped in-house laboratory.

The team is friendly, experienced and supportive, consisting of multiple vets, RVNs, an SVN and dedicated reception staff. Regular team activities help maintain a positive and inclusive working culture.

Located in Cheshire, the practice is set within a charming market town surrounded by countryside, with easy access to nearby towns and cities. Excellent transport links make commuting straightforward, whether by car or public transport.

They're looking for an experienced small animal vet confident in both medicine and routine surgical procedures, someone keen to lead by example and support the development of junior vets and a team player who values collaboration, clinical excellence and community-focused care.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a genuinely supportive, locally run practice where leadership, flexibility and wellbeing are truly prioritised.
