Location: East London
Salary: £40,000–£42,000 depending on experience
Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days per week
1 weekend in 6 + some out-of-hours support

An exciting opportunity for an experienced RVN to step into a Practice Manager role within an animal welfare-focused veterinary service in East London.

This could be a great next step for an experienced Head Nurse, Senior RVN or Nursing Team Leader or for someone who already has Practice Management experience and is looking for a new challenge.

The role will involve overseeing the day-to-day running of the practice, supporting the veterinary and nursing teams and making sure everything runs smoothly, while keeping animal welfare and patient care at the heart of what they do.

You’ll be involved in things such as:

• Managing and supporting the veterinary, nursing and support teams

• Staff rotas, recruitment and general people management

• Maintaining high standards of clinical care and animal welfare

• Stock control, purchasing and managing resources

• Supporting budgets and day-to-day operational performance

• Health & safety, biosecurity and clinical governance

• Helping with service development and wider practice planning

• Supporting emergency and out-of-hours requirements when needed

They’re looking for someone who:

• Is a qualified RVN with current RCVS registration

• Has experience as a Head Nurse, Senior RVN, Team Leader or similar

• Has experience leading and supporting a veterinary team

• Is organised and confident managing the day-to-day running of a busy practice

• Can stay calm and make good decisions under pressure

• Has a genuine passion for animal welfare

• Has experience with stock control, procurement or budgets would be a bonus
