My client is a modern, purpose-built small animal practice based in Lancashire, and they are currently looking to welcome a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join their friendly and supportive team.
This is a full-time role (40 hours per week) with 1 in 4 Saturdays, and no out-of-hours or overnight inpatient checks. The practice would be keen to hear from both newly qualified nurses and experienced RVNs looking for a fresh challenge.
The team is made up of 3 Veterinary Surgeons, 4 RVNs, 1 SVN, 2 VCAs, and a welcoming front-of-house team. The practice prides itself on being inclusive, supportive, and focused on bringing out the best in every team member.
The surgery is RCVS-accredited and purpose-built to a high standard, with separate dog, cat, and exotic wards to ensure excellent patient care. Facilities include multiple consulting rooms, a large treatment area, digital and dental x-ray, ultrasound, advanced cytology, capnography, in-house laparoscopy, and advanced dermatology services, alongside access to peripatetic orthopaedic support.
The practice is ideally located close to local amenities, the coast, and excellent transport links, making it well suited to commuters and those seeking a great work–life balance.
The successful candidate will be able to utilise their nursing skills fully, including patient admissions, anaesthetic monitoring, recovery, and discharge. Support is provided by ANAs and an SVN, allowing nurses to focus on high-quality clinical care.
Candidates should have at least two years’ post-qualification experience, strong general nursing skills, and a friendly, client-focused approach. However, newly qualified nurses with the right attitude and enthusiasm are also encouraged to apply.
