My client is seeking a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their supportive and forward-thinking team in Lanarkshire.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing, well-established practice that genuinely invests in its people, offering flexibility, strong clinical support and excellent career development opportunities. They are open to applications from vets at all stages of their career, from recent graduates to experienced clinicians.
The role can be full or part time, with flexible working patterns tailored to suit individual lifestyles and commitments. The caseload is varied, with 15-minute consultations as standard, allowing vets to deliver a high level of care while maintaining a manageable pace.
My client operates a modern, RCVS-accredited practice with excellent facilities, including laser therapy, video endoscopy, ultrasound, and digital radiography. The team benefits from a strong nursing support structure, including 24/7 nurse cover and regular nursing clinics, ensuring vets are well-supported in their day-to-day work.
The wider veterinary team is experienced and collaborative, consisting of clinicians at varying stages in their careers, including certificate holders. Regular clinical discussions and knowledge sharing are encouraged, creating an inclusive and engaging working environment.
The role includes a minimal on-call commitment of 1 in 11 weeks. While more experienced vets will be expected to be comfortable with sole charge during on-call periods, there is a clear support structure in place for less experienced colleagues.
My client places a strong emphasis on wellbeing and work-life balance. Their positive culture is reflected in external recognition, including being named among Scotland’s top ten best companies to work for, alongside achieving a ‘Best Companies’ award based on colleague feedback.
Located in Lanarkshire, the practice offers the perfect balance between countryside and city living, with scenic surroundings and excellent access to nearby towns and cities.
