An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join an independent, family-run small animal practice with surgeries across Derbyshire and South Yorkshire.
The practice is looking for a caring and enthusiastic vet to join its friendly and supportive team. There is flexibility to offer either a 12-month maternity cover contract or a permanent full-time or part-time position for the right candidate.
The role offers a varied caseload, with a good balance of consulting and surgery. Ideally, candidates will have at least three years' experience post-qualification, although applications from vets at all stages of their careers will be considered. An interest or additional experience in internal medicine would be advantageous but is not essential.
The role offers:
A four-day working week, with shifts of either 8am–6pm or 9am–7pm.
A 1 in 5 Saturday rota, working 8.30am–3.30pm.
No out-of-hours commitment.
A planned start date of December 2026.
A varied caseload with a balance of consulting and surgery.
Opportunities to develop individual clinical interests.
Work across two practice sites, with a driving licence beneficial.
