    Our client is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their busy hospital team in the Cardiff area. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician who enjoys managing complex medical cases, inpatient care and emergency admissions while maintaining variety through surgery and first-opinion consulting.

    Designed around hospital medicine rather than traditional GP practice, this role offers genuine case continuity, clinical autonomy and the opportunity to work alongside a highly experienced multidisciplinary team.

    The Role

    You'll spend the majority of your time caring for hospitalised patients, developing treatment plans and managing cases from admission through to discharge. Alongside inpatient medicine, you'll also have opportunities to perform surgery and consult on selected first-opinion cases.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Managing complex medical and surgical inpatients.

    • Investigating challenging diagnostic cases.

    • Supporting emergency admissions.

    • Performing soft tissue surgery.

    • Collaborating closely with the emergency and critical care team.

    • Providing first-opinion consultations when required.

    • Mentoring and supporting less experienced colleagues.

    This role is ideal for a veterinary surgeon who enjoys clinical problem-solving, continuity of care and delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

    Working Pattern

    • Up to 4 days per week (36 hours).
