Our client is a brand-new veterinary practice in East Sussex and is looking for an experienced Locum Veterinary Surgeon to provide regular ongoing support from 21st September while they continue recruiting for their permanent team.

This is a great opportunity for a vet looking for regular locum work within a new practice, with a minimal initial caseload and the opportunity for an open block booking.

The role includes:

• 2–3 days per week

• Sole charge

• Share of Saturday mornings, ideally every other Saturday, although 1 in 3 Saturdays would also be considered

• No OOH or on-call

• Minimal initial caseload

• Ongoing open block booking

Rota options:

Option 1 – 2-week rolling rota

• Week 1: Monday & Tuesday, 9am–7pm, with 1 hour unpaid lunch

• Week 2: Monday & Tuesday, 9am–7pm, plus Saturday 9am–1pm, consults only

Option 2 – 3-week rolling rota

• Week 1: Monday & Tuesday, 9am–7pm, with 1 hour unpaid lunch

• Week 2: Monday & Tuesday, 9am–7pm

• Week 3: Monday, Tuesday & Friday, 9am–7pm, plus Saturday 9am–1pm, consults only

This could be an excellent opportunity for a confident vet seeking consistent, ongoing work with a brand-new practice and a light initial caseload.
