My client is looking for a Mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join their growing and forward-thinking team in South West Scotland.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a well-established, multi-site practice that is continuing to invest heavily in its facilities, services and people. With a strong team culture and ongoing expansion, it’s an ideal time to join.
They operate across two sites and have built a highly collaborative environment, with vets and leadership working across both locations to ensure continuity and support. The wider team is large and well-structured, including experienced nurses, ACAs, reception and admin staff, alongside a strong leadership team of Clinical Directors and Senior Vets who remain hands-on clinically.
The role offers a varied mixed caseload within a supportive setting, with access to a wide range of in-house expertise. Clinical interests are actively encouraged and supported, with services including ophthalmology referrals, acupuncture, laparoscopic procedures, visiting sonography and regular cardiology clinics.
Significant investment is being made across both sites. One site is undergoing a full refurbishment and expansion, including new theatres, dedicated prep and dental areas, improved imaging facilities, additional consult rooms and enhanced lab space. The second site is also being upgraded, with improvements to wards, kennels, cattery and isolation facilities.
The team prides itself on a genuinely supportive and enjoyable working environment. Regular wellbeing initiatives, social events, and team activities are a key part of the culture, helping to maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere. Work-life balance is a real focus, with structured time off following on-call periods to ensure adequate rest.
This role can be full or part time, with a salary ranging from £38,000 to £65,000 depending on experience.
My client is looking for a team-oriented vet who is confident, adaptable and keen to contribute to a collaborative environment. Whether you’re looking to develop clinical interests or simply want to be part of a progressive and supportive practice, this opportunity offers both professional growth and a great quality of life.
