My client is an independent, well-equipped small animal practice in South Wales that is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their dedicated night team. They are seeking a confident, compassionate Vet who enjoys emergency and critical care and is happy working sole charge overnight.

They are a modern, independent practice with excellent facilities, including multiple consulting rooms and theatres, digital and dental x-ray, full in-house Idexx laboratory, separate cattery and kennels and an experienced nursing and support team.
The Role:
Night shift position, working sole charge
7 on / 14 off
Emergency and out-of-hours consultations and surgeries
Anaesthesia and patient monitoring
Developing treatment plans and prescribing medications
Maintaining detailed clinical records
Communicating clearly and empathetically with clients
Working collaboratively with the wider team and supporting staff

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ UK experience, be confident working sole charge and handling emergency procedures, have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be compassionate with a client-focused approach.
