Our client is looking for an experienced Night Veterinary Surgeon to join their dedicated out-of-hours team in Gloucestershire. This is an exciting opportunity for an ECC-focused vet who enjoys emergency medicine, complex cases and working within a well-equipped hospital supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team.
Offering a highly sought-after 7 nights on, 14 nights off rota, this position combines an excellent work-life balance with exposure to a varied and rewarding emergency caseload.
Working as part of a dedicated overnight team, you'll provide emergency and critical care for both the practice's own patients and those referred from surrounding veterinary practices.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing emergency medical and surgical cases.
Providing high-quality overnight inpatient care.
Leading and supporting the experienced night nursing team.
Performing emergency surgical procedures where required.
Working collaboratively with the wider clinical team to deliver outstanding patient care.
Delivering exceptional client communication during emergency situations.
This role is well suited to an experienced veterinary surgeon who is confident managing emergency cases independently while enjoying the support of a large hospital team.
Our client is a large, RCVS-accredited small animal hospital providing first-opinion, emergency and out-of-hours veterinary care across the region. The hospital is supported by a highly experienced team, including multiple certificate holders, offering excellent collaboration and opportunities for continued professional development.
