    About This Role

    Veterinary Surgeon

    Location: North London Charity Hospitals
    Salary: £47,850 – £62,212 per annum (including allowances) DOE
    Hours: 37.5 hours per week
    Contract: Full-time, fixed-term (6-12 months)

     

    Lacey is working with a well-known and respected veterinary charity, to recruit a Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly teams in North London, based across 2 sites.

     

    This is a fantastic opportunity for a vet who enjoys clinical variety and wants their work to have a genuine, positive impact. You’ll play a vital role in keeping people and pets together when times are tough, delivering essential veterinary care to those who need it most.

     

    The Role

    This position offers a diverse and rewarding caseload, with no two days the same. You’ll see a wide range of medical and surgical cases that will challenge and develop your skills, supported by an experienced and collaborative team.

    The successful candidate will be confident in making sound, evidence-based clinical decisions, comfortable discussing realistic treatment options, and able to balance best practice with each client’s circumstances. A pragmatic, welfare-focused approach and excellent communication skills are essential.

     

    You’ll thrive in a supportive, team-based environment, contributing to case discussions, shared learning and the continuous improvement of services, while helping to champion PDSA’s mission and values.

     

    The Hospital and Clinic are modern, well-equipped sites designed to support high clinical standards.

    Facilities include:

    • Separate dog and cat kennelling

    • In-house radiography, ultrasound and endoscopy

    • Piped gases

    • Extensive orthopaedic equipment

     

    The teams are highly collaborative, with varied clinical interests and a strong culture of knowledge-sharing and support.
