Our client is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their dedicated emergency and critical care team within a busy 24-hour veterinary hospital.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a highly supportive ECC environment while benefiting from an excellent rota pattern that promotes work-life balance.
£30,000 annual salary
27-hour per week contract
7 nights on, 14 nights off rota
8:00pm – 8:00am shifts
No accommodation provided
30-minute emergency consultations as standard
You'll work alongside:
1 Night Veterinary Surgeon
1 Night VCA
Reception support until 10pm
Twilight Nurse support until midnight
Previous ECC or OOH nursing experience is preferred.
As part of an advanced veterinary hospital, candidates should be confident supporting and monitoring:
Caesarean sections
Pyometra cases
Exploratory laparotomies
Enterotomy and enterectomy procedures
Addisonian crises
Diabetic ketoacidosis cases
Severe pancreatitis patients
Intensive inpatient and emergency care cases

Our client operates a large RCVS-accredited 24-hour hospital and Emergency Clinic supporting both first opinion and referral-level caseloads.
The hospital employs over 70 colleagues and is equipped with advanced diagnostics including CT, laparoscopy, endoscopy, advanced ultrasound, dental radiography, digital radiography, transfusion medicine facilities and dedicated inpatient wards.
The practice also holds ISFM Gold Accreditation.
