Lacey’s client is seeking a part-time Veterinary Surgeon with some experience to join their proudly independent veterinary group in Wiltshire. This role includes some weekend involvement and offers full hospital and out-of-hours support, with the group’s main hospital site located nearby.
The successful candidate will be based at a busy and well-established branch surgery, supported by a loyal client base and a consistent, experienced nursing and support team. The branch is located in an attractive market-town setting, offering easy access to major road networks and surrounding countryside.
Lacey’s client is owned and led by vets who are passionate about supporting colleagues as individuals. They offer flexible working patterns, structured career development, and a genuinely supportive culture. The group holds an SPVS Wellbeing Award and places strong emphasis on helping team members thrive both professionally and personally.
The practice ethos is simple: big enough to handle the unexpected, small enough to know clients and their families by name. This philosophy extends to the team environment, where vets are encouraged to learn, grow, and feel part of a close-knit veterinary family.
As a branch vet, the role involves managing an individual medical and surgical caseload, with full support and integration with the group’s state-of-the-art hospital. This provides opportunities to collaborate with certificate holders in medicine, surgery, ophthalmology and imaging, alongside access to excellent facilities, including CT.
The group operates its own dedicated OOH team, allowing high standards of care to be maintained around the clock, without any OOH commitment for this role.
They are looking for a vet with excellent communication skills, strong client care, and a shared commitment to delivering the highest clinical and service standards.
The wider team is friendly, sociable and forward-thinking, with active steering groups focused on clinical standards, wellbeing, sustainability and social activities. A staff recognition scheme rewards outstanding contributions, and a strong sense of humour and community is actively encouraged.
