Lacey’s client, a well-established charity veterinary hospital in Dorset, is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to join its supportive and collaborative team.
This is a varied and rewarding role, ideal for a vet who enjoys hands-on clinical work and wants to make a genuine difference within the local community.
The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload including consultations, surgery, dentistry, inpatient care and medical cases. The focus is on delivering pragmatic, welfare-centred treatment plans while working closely with clients to provide realistic options tailored to their circumstances.
This position would suit a Veterinary Surgeon who is adaptable, confident in clinical decision-making and motivated by meaningful veterinary care rather than purely commercial targets.
The hospital is modern and well equipped, supporting high standards of patient care with facilities including:
Separate dog and cat wards
Digital radiography
Ultrasound and endoscopy
Dentistry and surgical suites

Deliver medical and surgical care across consultations, imaging and inpatient treatment
Communicate treatment plans clearly and empathetically
Support preventative healthcare and responsible pet ownership
Participate in CPD and share knowledge with colleagues
Contribute to clinical governance and hospital efficiency
Maintain accurate clinical records
Participate in rota duties and emergency care where required
£45,750 – £60,112 DOE (incl. allowances)
