Salary: £29,255 - £33,758 including allowances
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Full-time, 12-month temporary contract

I’m currently recruiting for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team at PDSA Gillingham on a 12-month temporary contract.

This is a great opportunity for an RVN looking for a varied role within a busy, purpose-led hospital, where no two days are quite the same. PDSA provides vital veterinary care to pets belonging to people who are struggling financially, so this is a role where you can genuinely make a difference to both pets and their owners.

You’ll be joining a friendly and collaborative team and will be involved across the hospital, with responsibilities including:

• Nurse consultations and inpatient care

• Dispensing medications

• Assisting in theatre

• Schedule 3 procedures

• Supporting the wider team with day-to-day clinical care

• Providing high standards of nursing care while keeping both pets and owners at ease

The hospital is modern and well equipped, with separate dog and cat kennelling, in-house radiography, ultrasound and endoscopy, piped gases and a range of orthopaedic equipment. The team have a variety of clinical interests, so there is plenty of opportunity for case discussion, shared learning and support from experienced colleagues.

They’re looking for a qualified RVN who is confident working in a busy environment, enjoys a varied caseload and is happy to get involved across all areas of the hospital. You’ll need to be a good communicator and enjoy working as part of a close-knit team, with a genuine interest in animal welfare.
