My client in South West Wales is in need of a Veterinary Surgeon Team Leader to join their team.
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon Team Leader to join a well-established, charity-led small animal hospital in South West Wales. This role offers the chance to make a genuine difference by delivering essential veterinary care to pets within the local community, particularly those facing financial hardship.
This is an ideal position for a vet looking to combine clinical excellence with leadership, working within a supportive, purpose-driven environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will take on clinical governance responsibility for the hospital, leading a team of Veterinary Surgeons to deliver a professional, efficient and compassionate service. The role is full time, working 37.5 hours per week.
The role would particularly suit a vet with a surgical bias who enjoys a hands-on caseload, alongside a pragmatic and evidence-based approach to clinical decision-making. There is strong support to further develop surgical leadership skills within a collaborative team setting.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading, mentoring and developing the Veterinary Surgeon team
Overseeing clinical standards and governance within the hospital
Supporting recruitment, training and ongoing team development
Delivering high-quality clinical care with a focus on practical, patient-focused outcomes

The Hospital
The hospital is modern, well-equipped and designed to support high standards of clinical care. Facilities include:
Separate dog and cat wards
In-house radiography, ultrasound and endoscopy
