My client, is seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Veterinary Surgeon to lead their branch in South Wales. As Senior Veterinary Surgeon, you will take overall responsibility for the leadership and smooth operation of the Hospital. You will lead the entire hospital team through the line management of Veterinary Surgeon Team Leaders, the Head Nurse, and the Client Service Manager, fostering a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
You will oversee day-to-day hospital operations, ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and compassionate care for pets and their owners. The role carries accountability for clinical quality and governance, rota and resource planning, client experience, and operational performance, all in line with organisational standards.
This position also includes responsibility for overseeing income and expenditure at hospital level, managing treatment costs, and ensuring resources are used effectively to deliver high-quality, cost-conscious care.
It is full time, working 37.5 hours per week.

They are looking for a driven and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon with a strong background in both clinical practice and people leadership. You will have proven experience leading teams, creating supportive working environments, and developing others through mentoring and guidance.
You will be an excellent communicator with strong organisational and decision-making skills, able to manage competing priorities and respond calmly to challenges in a busy hospital environment. A flexible, solution-focused approach and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential.
