Synergy Vets is seeking a permanent full-time “Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon” to join an independent practice near Chester.
Located near the historic city of Chester, this Veterinary Centre provides a friendly and inviting practice for clients in the region. With its state-of-the-art examination rooms and diagnostic equipment, its team is equipped with the tools to provide rapid, accurate diagnoses for a wide range of health conditions.
· Offering 4 working days, but open to the individual's requirements
· £35 000 - £55 000 depending on working hours.
· Hours of work are 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with specific workdays negotiable. Flexibility with the exact hours can be considered, and there are no current weekend requirements.
· A qualified Vet GDP advisor is present, but the practice are NON-participants of the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme (PSS).
· VetGDP qualified is a must have with at least 1-3 years of experience in SA practice. The client needs a confident surgeon who can consult independently.
· Paid RCVS and VDS cover. CPD allowance can be negotiated based on the candidate's interests and qualifications, and support for the right candidate working towards a postgraduate qualification can be discussed.
This first opinion role will predominantly involve consultations, with the opportunity for you to work and follow up on your own cases. You will also take on routine surgical procedures, suitable for a recently graduated vet or a more experienced practitioner to work on at a more relaxed pace.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1-3 years' experience in small animal practice and be registered with the RCVS. Any certifications in General Practice, General Surgery, or similar are desirable but not a requirement.
