    About This Role

My client is looking for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, although part-time hours can be considered for the right candidate. There is no OOH requirement for this position, supporting a healthy work–life balance. Salary on offer is £45,000 – £65,000 depending on experience.

This is a well-established, RCVS-accredited practice with a loyal and growing client base, offering a varied first-opinion small animal caseload. The team pride themselves on delivering high-quality clinical care while maintaining a supportive and collaborative working environment. Some branch work may be required and may involve sole-charge consulting.

The practice is very well equipped, including digital x-ray, ultrasound, video endoscopy, two surgical theatres, a dedicated dental suite with dental x-ray, an in-house laboratory, and separate canine and feline wards. The wider team includes certificate holders in areas such as medicine, dentistry and ECC, supported by highly experienced RVNs with additional qualifications in ECC, surgery, anaesthesia and physiotherapy.

They are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who is confident with routine consultations and surgery, has completed VetGDP, and is keen to work with a diverse caseload. Someone interested in developing their skills further, particularly within surgery or orthopaedics, would be warmly welcomed.

The practice places a strong focus on career development and wellbeing. They offer a generous CPD allowance with paid CPD days, access to visiting specialists, and a benefits package that includes RCVS and VDS cover, professional subscriptions paid, 6.6 weeks annual leave, volunteer leave, corporate gym membership, cycle-to-work scheme, optional private medical insurance, and wellbeing support including mental health first aiders.

Located in Lancashire, the practice benefits from easy access to beautiful countryside, charming towns and excellent transport links, offering a fantastic balance between work and lifestyle.
