    Our client, a friendly and well-established independent veterinary practice in the Cheshire area, is looking to welcome an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to their growing team.

Whether you're looking for full-time, part-time, or a bespoke working pattern, the practice is happy to accommodate the right candidate.

    The Role

    This is a first-opinion small animal position offering a varied caseload and the opportunity to build lasting relationships with clients and patients.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Conducting consultations and managing your own cases.

    • Performing routine soft tissue surgeries.

    • Providing high-quality preventative and medical care.

    • Working collaboratively with an experienced and supportive team.

    • Delivering excellent client communication and continuity of care.

    This role would suit a veterinary surgeon who enjoys both consulting and surgery and is looking for a practice where they can develop their skills while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

    About You

    The ideal candidate will:

    • Be a qualified and RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon.

    • Have completed VetGDP and have at least 1-3 years' experience in small animal practice.

    • Be confident consulting independently.

    • Be competent performing routine surgical procedures.

    • Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.

    • Be keen to continue developing professionally.

    Postgraduate certificates or additional qualifications are welcomed but are not essential.

    Working Hours

    The practice offers excellent flexibility to suit your lifestyle.

    • Full-time ideally based over 4 days per week.

    • Part-time applications welcomed, including 2 or 3 days per week.

    • Alternative working patterns will also be considered.

    • Monday to Friday only.

    • Working hours generally 9:00am - 6:00pm.

    • No weekend commitments currently required.

    Salary & Benefits

    • Salary £35,000 - £55,000, depending on experience (negotiable for the right candidate).
