    About This Role

My client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and progressive team at a well-established practice in Cheshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident vet looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive, well-equipped, and forward-thinking environment.

This is a full-time position working a 4-day week, offering an excellent work-life balance.

Key aspects of the role include:

    • First opinion consultations and surgeries

    • No on-call requirements

This role is ideal for a vet with at least 2 years’ experience who is comfortable working independently while still enjoying the support of a larger team.

My client operates a busy, multi-branch veterinary group with access to a Tier 3 hospital and an in-house referral team, meaning patients receive seamless, high-quality care without the need for external referrals.

They are committed to delivering gold-standard veterinary care and investing in both their people and facilities. The practice is equipped with advanced technology, including:

    • CT scanner and visiting MRI

    • Doppler echocardiography

    • Flexible and rigid endoscopy

    • Digital and dental radiography

    • Ultrasound

    • Laparoscopy and fluoroscopy

    • Advanced anaesthesia and surgical equipment

This provides an excellent environment for vets looking to develop their clinical skills and pursue areas of special interest.

My client is looking for a veterinary surgeon who:

    • Has a minimum of 2 years’ UK experience

    • Is confident with routine procedures and occasional sole charge

    • Communicates effectively with both clients and colleagues

    • Is motivated, team-oriented, and committed to high clinical standards

    • Has an interest in continued professional development

Based in Cheshire, the practice benefits from a great balance of countryside and city access, with excellent transport links and easy reach of larger cities. It’s an ideal setting for those looking for both convenience and quality of life.
