Our client is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their established out-of-hours emergency service. This is an excellent opportunity for an RVN who enjoys emergency and critical care, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and values working as part of a supportive and experienced team.
Based within a well-equipped veterinary hospital in Somerset, the practice provides a dedicated out-of-hours service for local veterinary practices across the region, delivering high-quality emergency care to a varied small animal caseload, including occasional exotic and wildlife patients.
As the Twilight RVN, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the evening emergency service. Your responsibilities will include:
Managing incoming emergency telephone calls.
Booking appointments and triaging patients on arrival.
Supporting the veterinary surgeon and night RVN throughout the shift.
Assisting with inpatient care and preparing for emergency procedures as required.
Helping to deliver exceptional patient and client care during out-of-hours periods.
You'll work alongside an experienced night veterinary surgeon and dedicated night RVN in a collaborative and supportive environment.
This is a part-time position working alternate weekends:
Friday: 7:00pm – 11:30pm
Saturday: 4:00pm – 11:30pm
Sunday: 4:00pm – 11:30pm
Average 9.75 hours per week.
