Looking for a Veterinary Surgeon role where you can enjoy a great work-life balance, genuinely good consultation time and a supportive team around you?
If you’re an experienced GP vet looking for a practice where you can develop your clinical interests, enjoy a varied caseload and have the time to provide high-quality patient and client care, this could be a great opportunity.
You’ll be joining a modern, growing, award-winning first-opinion practice with an experienced team and a strong reputation for delivering high standards of clinical care.
The role
Ideally, this is a full-time position working a combination of:
9am–5pm shifts
11am–7pm shifts
1 in 3 Saturdays, 9am–5pm
No OOH
Flexible working options can be discussed
One of the biggest advantages of the role is the time given to each consultation. Vet consults are 20 minutes, with the final appointment at 6:30pm, helping the team finish on time rather than regularly running late.
Your diary also includes protected admin time, tea breaks and a proper lunch break, giving you the opportunity to work at a sustainable pace.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with strong all-round GP skills who is comfortable working in sole charge when required.
You’ll be a confident communicator, enjoy building relationships with clients and colleagues, and be someone who genuinely values teamwork.
There’s a varied mix of medical and surgical cases, with plenty of opportunity to develop your own clinical interests. The team is also happy to support CPD, further training and certificate-level development.
You’ll be joining an experienced and supportive clinical team, including vets, RVNs, VCAs and dedicated client care colleagues.
The practice leadership team brings extensive veterinary and nursing experience, with particular interests including soft tissue surgery, preventative healthcare and anaesthesia.
There is also a strong focus on colleague wellbeing, with Mental Health First Aiders and access to dedicated colleague assistance programmes.
This is a modern, purpose-built practice with the equipment and facilities you would expect from a high-quality GP environment, alongside additional equipment including a CryoPen for cryotherapy.
The practice has achieved multiple industry accreditations and awards, reflecting its commitment to clinical standards, patient care and continuous improvement.
