Develop Your Surgical Career with PDSA
This is an exciting 3-month, surgically focused opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon looking to further develop their surgical skills and gain valuable experience within a busy and rewarding hospital environment.
You’ll work alongside an experienced clinical team within a well-equipped hospital with a strong surgical caseload, giving you the opportunity to build confidence, broaden your experience and develop your clinical skills.
A wide range of procedures are carried out in-house, providing exposure to both emergency and complex surgery.
Alongside surgery, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a varied clinical caseload across areas including:
Soft tissue surgery
Orthopaedics
Dentistry
Ophthalmology
Dermatology
General medicine
Emergency and complex cases
This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your confidence across a diverse range of cases within a supportive hospital environment.
About You
We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys surgery and managing a varied caseload, while remaining passionate about providing excellent care to pets and their owners.
To be successful, you will:
Be MRCVS registered
Have experience delivering high-quality patient and client care
Take a pragmatic and welfare-focused approach to clinical decision-making
Be confident working in a busy and fast-paced environment
Be comfortable managing a varied caseload
Be computer literate and confident using clinical systems
Ideally have at least 12 months' UK small animal practice experience
You’ll be someone who enjoys learning, is keen to develop their surgical skills and works well as part of a collaborative clinical team.
