Salary: £44,000–£60,000 DOE
Our client is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their well-established Tier 3 veterinary hospital in Merseyside. Weekend rota:
1 in 8 Saturdays and Sundays, or
2 Saturdays and 1 Sunday every 8 weeks
Some out-of-hours cover for annual leave and sickness
The successful candidate will be confident in:
Routine consultations
Neutering and other routine surgical procedures
Sole charge branch work for approximately 50% of the role (or branch-only work with full hospital support if preferred)
You'll work alongside an experienced veterinary team, including certificate holders in medicine, surgery, and diagnostic imaging, with excellent support available from an established referral service.
The hospital is exceptionally well equipped, including:
Digital X-ray
Ultrasound
Endoscopy and dental radiography
CO₂ laser
Laparoscopic equipment
64-slice CT scanner
1.5T MRI scanner
RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
Confident with routine consultations and surgery
Comfortable with sole charge when required
Committed to delivering outstanding patient and client care
Enjoys working collaboratively within a supportive team
Interested in developing clinical skills and managing cases to a high standard
Salary of £44,000–£60,000, depending on experience
6.6 weeks' annual leave, including bank holidays
£1,750 annual CPD allowance plus one week of CPD leave
