My client is currently looking to recruit a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and progressive small animal practice in Northamptonshire.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a practice that genuinely prioritises team culture, open communication and professional development. With a long-standing, loyal team and a positive, collaborative environment, this is an ideal role for a vet seeking stability, autonomy and growth.
The Role
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 DOE
Full-time preferred (flexible patterns considered)
1 in 3 Saturdays
Some sole charge required
No out-of-hours responsibility
The practice is seeking an experienced and confident Veterinary Surgeon with 2–3+ years post-qualification experience, who is comfortable managing:
Routine consults
Standard surgical procedures
Basic emergency cases
Independent decision-making when required
Due to the level of autonomy required, this role is best suited to an experienced vet rather than a new graduate.
The Practice
You will be joining a close-knit team consisting of:
2 Veterinary Surgeons
4 RVNs (including the Practice Owner)
1 SVN (soon to qualify)
1 VCA
4 Receptionists
The practice is well-equipped and fast-paced, yet highly supportive. There are exciting growth plans underway, including an upcoming relaunch and rebrand, making this an excellent time to join the team and be part of its next chapter.
Location
Situated within Northamptonshire, the practice benefits from a blend of town amenities and nearby countryside, offering excellent work–life balance and easy access to green spaces.
What’s on Offer
5.6 weeks annual leave (increasing with service)
Additional day off for your birthday
Contributory pension scheme
Private healthcare
Generous CPD allowance and certificate funding
Paid memberships (RCVS, BVA, VDS)
Relocation support considered (UK or overseas)
Exclusive company discounts and rewards
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Veterinary Surgeon looking for a supportive, people-focused environment where your development and wellbeing are genuinely valued.
