    About the Role

    We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys the variety and challenge of a busy caseload and is confident making sound clinical decisions.

    You’ll be comfortable discussing a range of treatment options with clients and tailoring recommendations to meet both the individual needs of the pet and the circumstances of their owner.

    Communication and teamwork are central to the role. You’ll build strong relationships with clients and colleagues, working collaboratively within a supportive environment where case discussion, knowledge-sharing and continuous learning are encouraged.

    You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside an experienced and compassionate veterinary team, making a meaningful difference to pets and their owners while contributing to the continued development of our services.

    Both full-time and part-time applications can be considered.

    About the Practice

    Our practice provides a collaborative and supportive environment, making it an excellent place to develop your clinical skills and experience.

    Teamwork is at the heart of the practice, with regular opportunities for case discussion, shared learning and clinical collaboration. You’ll have access to a broad range of knowledge and expertise across the veterinary team, providing valuable support when discussing cases and treatment plans.

    The practice is well equipped to support high-quality patient care, including:

    • Separate dog and cat kennelling facilities

    • In-house radiography

    • Ultrasound

    • Endoscopy

    • Piped gases

    • Extensive orthopaedic equipment

    The team places a strong emphasis on maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Weekend working is typically around nine weekends per year, with stand-down time provided throughout shifts and additional payment for weekend cover.

    • Is comfortable making independent clinical decisions

    • Can communicate treatment options clearly and sensitively with clients

    • Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
