About the Practice
An established, independent small animal veterinary practice in South Devon is looking to recruit a Veterinary Surgeon to join its friendly and experienced team.
The practice is RCVS-accredited, an approved Veterinary Nurse Training Centre, a RWAF Silver Rabbit Friendly Clinic and an ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic. With modern facilities, a varied caseload and a genuine commitment to professional development, this is an excellent opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon looking to thrive in a supportive, collaborative environment.
The practice undertakes a wide range of surgical procedures, including BOAS surgery and advanced dentistry, and is equipped with the latest in-house laboratory technology to support excellent patient care.
The Role
This is a rewarding and varied position where you'll enjoy a broad mix of consulting, medical case work-ups, general surgery and diagnostic imaging.
You'll also have the opportunity to undertake veterinary work with one of the practice's animal charity partners, adding further variety to your caseload.
Consultations are shared across three branch clinics, while all surgical procedures are performed at the main hospital site. Appointments are scheduled in advance, with emergency consultations accommodated as required.
Working alongside an experienced and supportive team, you'll be encouraged to develop your clinical interests while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

About You
To be considered, you will:
Hold an RCVS-recognised veterinary degree (or have passed the RCVS Statutory Membership Examination)
Be registered with the RCVS
Have an up-to-date CPD record
Have at least two years' experience in small animal practice
The ideal candidate will also be:
A proactive and confident clinician who is comfortable with sole charge
Passionate about delivering outstanding clinical care
Keen to continue learning and developing within a highly experienced team
An excellent communicator who builds strong relationships with clients and colleagues
Organised, empathetic, trustworthy and professional
Flexible and willing to travel between branch practices as required
A full UK driving licence holder with access to a vehicle
